Research
Research Consultation & Design Jam
STEMFutures Design Jam in Wasinmi, a rural farming community, in Osun State using a relatable narrative titled “A Day in the Life of Sandra, the Solar Innovator.” We engaged girls, teachers and parents in a Futures Wheel exercise, exploring desirable and undesirable plausibilities of an fictional girl in that community with similar lived experiences like the participants. The exercise revealed the interconnectedness of systemic issues such as energy access, crop preservation and gender equity in STEM education.
Outcomes of this research consultation informed our continuous group-mentorship support to the students and teachers.
Advocacy
Knowledge Sharing & Policy Engagement
In addition to our research efforts, SheSOLVES Africa actively engages ecosystem decision-makers, educators, and policymakers in knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure our insights inform gender-based development approaches. Our advocacy spans media, professional networks, and direct stakeholder engagement.
Mentorship
Dialogue Across Generations
“If she can see bigger, she can dream bigger and achieve bigger.”
SheSOLVES Africa organises intergenerational mentorship and dialogue sessions to give adolescent girls and young women the opportunity to engage with, learn from, and be inspired by experienced professionals in STEM across different generations.
